PDLs Illegal in Certain states.... CONFUSED

Or "Prohibited", or whatever. I live in CT and apparently this is the case in my state... these PDLs are prohibited. Does anyone know what that actually means? Obviously they can't be prohibited if I received them... what does this really mean???

It really depends on the state. In most state's where they are prohibited, it means just that. Businesses are not allowed to do payday loans in those states. BUT - Some state's only prohibit physical locations, leaving a loophole for internet based lenders to go through. I'm not sure what the case is for CT because I haven't looked into it.
