My state is Michigan. I have heard that Plain Green Loans was an illegal payday loan.

However, I received a letter in the mail today from National Credit Adjusters saying that they have purchased the account from Plain Green Loans. "The letter is to inform you that National Credit Adjusters, LLC (NCA) has purchased the above referenced account; we are not collecting for Plain Green LLC..NCA owns the account you created with Plain Green LLC. and has a financial investment in it."

And they say that I owe 1304.17 (with interest).

Is this real, since I thought that PlainGreenLoans was illegal?

Do you really owe the debt? If yes, then pay back only the principal as Plain Green is an illegal lender. Don???t pay any interest or fees. Close down your bank account and open a new one. You can ask National Credit Adjusters to validate the debt first before paying back the principal. If they don???t give any valid proof, then send them a Cease and Desist letter.

since this is an illegal lender, and NCA is a bottomfeeder.a c&d is more appropriate as again it is an illegal lender, and nca is a bottomfeeder.the OP doesn't owe near what they claim if anything.a DV is pointless here.
