Quick Payday is suing me & I never borrowed...HELP!!

Hi,
I found this site via search and I see many of you talking about a place called Quick Payday.com. I am hoping someone can help me here!!!
I got a call today from some Law office named Vinson ans something. They were asking for me in my name when I was married before. I told them that was me but I was no longer Mrs. Welch. The person said they were calling about a debt with quickpayday.com. Well right off the bat I went off and told them there is no way in heck that was me because I only took out one payday loan under desperation (when I got divorced I used PaydayOK) in my entire life and I paid it back right away because I knew the interest was so high. I tell him I want proof. The guy then yells, "see you in court" and hangs up. So i am thouroughly ticked at this point and I call back and ask to speak to someone else. This person was slightly nicer and said that QuickPayday is suing me for a balance of $400.00.
i go to their website and I cannot get any info because their website is cheap and does not work. So I go to the BBB site and find out that their CLOSED!!!! So I call the number listed on the site and it just says they are out of business and gives a mailing address. I do not have time to mail something.
So what should I do? I am thinking about going to the police! Should I?
Has this happened to anyone else? I think I am being scammed.
Does anyone know their phone number?
I am frantic here because they said they put it on my credit report and I am going to have to go to court. I have $400.00 now to pay it but I am not paying a scammer. Also I have worked hard to fix my credit and I am so mad they put this on my credit!
What do I do now? Any suggestions? thanks!

krista, do not pay a dime until you have some kind of debt valid
krista, do not pay a dime until you have some kind of debt validation. Just because someone were to call ME on the phone and say "You owe me xxx dollars", I'm not giving them a friggin penny until it's proven that it is indeed my debt.

That was me above. Thanks for your reply. They are supposed to be sending me something but I put their # into Google and it says they are "Rent a Lawyers" and scam artists. I guess I will just wait to see what happens.
