I went bankrupt on several rental properties and the attorney that took my case said as soon as it was filed we weren't responsible for any of the homes. WRONG!!! Not only are we responsible for everything, most of the mortgage companies don't even want them back or don't want to try to sell them.
When I called them to see which houses actually had sold, if any, they told me they don't get that information. LIE!!! When I looked at every paper I had received from the courts, they most certainly were mailed a copy of them. Needless to
say our attorney no longer works for them and no one will tell me why. Please look around.

I also hired them to handle a bankrupty and found out they are very shady, their attorneys have high turnover rate, we had 3 different attorneys in 6 months, then we fired them because of the runaround, they kept our retainer.
They are much better attorneys out there, avoid Rauser

run, they will take your money and then give you poor service. You never never get to speak with your attorney only the staff.
Will

Do not use this law firm, shady, shady, shady.
They tell you one thing and do another. If you are looking for a Ch 13. they have the worst attorney's. they will not call you back or give you sound advise.

IF you are going to file bankruptcy, I strongly recommend Ryan Gerace. He is a very good lawyer who strives to get clients in and their problems settled. You can find him if you google his name.

I personally used Rauser & Associates for my chapter 7 in June of 2008. They were great at the beginning until they got my $1000 for the bankruptcy fees. After that they were very short on what they told me was going to happen. For anyone filing for a first time it's scary and you want to know exactly how everything is going to come into place, and they didn't. Anytime I called with a question I talked to someone new in the office who didn't know anything. When I went to my hearing everyone else that was there filing had their bankruptcy lawyers there telling them everything that was going to be asked in the room. Mine from Rauser's wasn't even my original lawyer and showed up 1 min before I had to go in. To top it all off best off all, they screwed up my paperwork to my bank and my car was repossessed which cost me a lot of headache and $300 that I had to pay to have it removed. When I called them on it because I told them 100 times I wanted to reaffirm my car, they tried to blame it on my bank which was false. The bank told me that they just went on the paperwork that came to them from Rauser's stating I wanted to give the care up. They made my bankruptcy terrible and scary and they're very reckless and don't care about you after they get your money, WATCH OUT!!

Don't use them. I used them to file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. They sweet talked me into believing everything would be ok. Once they had my money, it was a different story. If I had a problem, they would just tell me to pay what I could & it would all work out. Well, guess what, it didn't. All they are interested in is filing as many cases as possible to collect their fees. They don't care at all about helping people.

Poor service. I had to file a complaint with the BBB in order for Rauser to return my phone call. Even now Rauser is still slow to respond. I was told in October and November that a Motion to Show Cause would be filed against my mortgage company. Here it is January 2010 and the Motion was just filed. Yhe hearing is February. Furthermore, I always leve a paper trail. I put everthin in writing. I sent a fax stating that I was gointg to send a cashier's check for property taxes (long story). I faxed directly to my Atty and CC'd his boss. I sent a copy of the letter in with the check and mailed it certified so that I could verify receipt. I spoke with the Atty the following Friday. He informed me that he had finally fied the motion. I inquired about the cashier's check. He was clueless about what I was taking about. Now, I had sent him a fax plus enclused a letter with the check. I had verified that the check had arrived at his office. So, what happened to the check? Moreover, does he read my letters? He has an ethical duty to communicate with his clients. Letters are a written form of communitcation. My next step is to file an ethical complaint with the Suprem Court. I have over $100,000 in student loans. This fact alone should tell him that I have some level of education. I just mismanaged my money. There are plenty of lawyers and other professionals that have mismanaged money.

If you need help this is the wrong place. They are far from being lawyers. I only wish I did my HW before hiring them. Not only did they take my fees and withdrew from the case without giving me back any money, but they caused me and my family greater problems with the court. If you have to, go first for a visit and sit with one of their lawyers, e.g. one by the name of David, you will see what I mean.

They were great until they got my money, after that I could not talk with the lawyer i was assigned only staff. Whne it came time for my hearing some lawyer showed up I never seen before. This new lawyer knew nothing about my case and when it was over I found that teh case was not filed correctly. Now they want me to pay again to fix it. My advise if RUN DONT WALK FROM THIS FIRM !! There oher law firms out there much better then this one.

I went there for a consult and paid $100 retainer fee the went back the next week to get my fee back because I had found a better lawyer and they told me to write a letter and sign it then I would recieve a check within 30 days. 30 days past and no check, so I called them and got more B.S. and they want to charge me another fee to look at my file to process my refund??? What a SCAM that's all I can say About this law firm it's a scam. I'm going to the Attorney General Richard Corday, you don't need a lawyer to combat them everyone needs to call the Attorney General. A very nice black lady works there her name is Angelina! Better results than filing a BBB complaint and cheaper than filing a suit in court.

What part of Ohio are you in? I know a very good attorney who is very reasonable price wise, she doesn't have a big fancy office but really knows her stuff. I could PM you if you were registered, I don't want to post her name in an open forum though.

I used them and did not have any problems. The only thing is that the first attorney you speak with is not your attorney, he just draws people in. When we had questions we kept having to wait for the attorney that actually files for you. I was a little disconcerted about that but it all worked out in the end.

I gave Rauser & Associates a $100 retainer (given to David Dentinger) and mailed in the other $475 for my lawyer fees. At this time I am not sure if I'm doing a 7 or 13. So I called them to get my money back and was told they had to keep it because they set my file up and typed a 60 page document. Bull!!! Anything that long would be on a computer. They say they have everything they need and I'm all set to file the 13. All I have to do is pay filing fees. According to the paperwork I was given there are several things they need before they file that I haven't provided yet. Talk about a scam! So they won't give my money back. I'm stuck with them. :( Wish I would have done MY homework also.

Beware of Rauser.... I retained them back in 2007 and I've paid all but $90.00. I've sent them judgement papers for court dates- NOTHING was done. Creditors won! I've already paid one judgement off bout to start another one. I've asked for refund time & time again. Nothing.... Shop elsewhere...Very Very rude office staff

Nobody likes to think about filing bankruptcy, but when you have to, I personally would like to recommend Borders and Gerace. Rauser and Associates are scam con artists, and I luckily was able to get out before having them ruin my bankruptcy. Ryan Gerace got everything filed correctly and quickly, was there for me before, and during this process(still finishing), and he was my attorney that was with me in my meeting with trustees. He has not lied to me, and answered all my questions and answers his own calls! I give Borders and Gerace an 11 on a scale of 1-10, he truly went above and beyond to get my life back.

I filed a chapter 13, 5 years ago and it should have been completed in May 2012. Now they are adding things that were not on the confirmed chapter 13. My atty is now threatening me that a part of my chptr 13 could cost me my home....all the while they continue to garnish my wages.. they have currently taken 28,000 over the original amount owed.
They are in the business of taking your money and not doing anything else.. They never respond to phone calls.. never show up for meetings.. ect....
