rbvcash aka pdl loan center sent me an email....in this email they said my loan was in a "collection status" offered a payment plan of 390 which was the loan amount plus one "refinance" fee broken into payments etc etc...my question is ...at the bottom of the email it said I had 30 days to dispute the validity of the debt...I have to do this in writing etc etc..now I live in MD and I know that pdl loan center rcvcash or whatever they are calling themselves now is illegal...do I send them a DV letter? and how am I supposed to do this in writing when they didnt send anything to me except an email? I have no physical address for them and I know I do not owe 390...how can they validate the debt anyway? not usre if I should humor them with a response or just ignore it...this is the fist time I've heard from them in 3 months. any help would be great thanks

That's interesting, so now these illegal companies are sending dunning letters via email? Good gravy, and why would the original lender be sending you a dunning letter, those apply to third party collectors. That goes to show you how unintelligent the people these lenders hire. lol If you are possitive they are not licensed to lend to your state residents then bypass the whole thing because in the end it will serve no purpose anyway.

yes I thought it very strange.....why would I validate with the pdl company themselves? and through email? pdls are prohibited in MD so this company which is part of pdl ventures is a joke...this is also the same pdl (pdl loan center) that sent me an unsolicited PIF about a month ago...thanking me for paying my loan in full and offering me a new one with a 50$ increase...so one day its paid in full and another day I need to validate the debt with the company...lol
thanks for your advice! have a good day.
