Thank you for having this forum. I had 4 loans and was facing them taking my entire paycheck, with no way out. I had considered a debt consolidation company, which charges 30% of all of your total debt and I still would not have been able to afford the payments. I did not realize all of these loans were illegal until i found this forum. I did as instructed, and I am currently only going back and forth with Great Plains a bit, but the others have "because of their commitment to customer service" have "forgiven the remainder of the balance" I did receive a refund from cash cure of 176.00, but I doubt I will see a refund from the others, which is fine with me. I just want to move on and have the whole ordeal behind me.
Below are the details and the current outcomes. I hope that someone searching as I did for an answer will be empowered to take this on as I was

CashDirect Express (installment loan)

Last email was that they are sorry for any misunderstanding and want to settle the matter amicably They requested a clarification of the money paid to them because they had me down as only paying them 1,688.76. I sent them proof of payments totaling $2,354.76 and am waiting to hear back.

Wow! Really great news. Print those PIF's and Satisfied in Fulls and keep in a safe place just in case you need them for future reference. Glad we were able to help you. We like hearing success stories.

Just received from Cash Direct Express Currently, you have a balance of
$1,019.95. In an effort to resolve this matter, we have waived the remaining balance, loan
fees and consider the loan “Satisfied in Full”.

So Great Plains is the only one unresolved, but I am confident it will be settled soon. I am so grateful for this new start.

Congrats on all your positive outcomes. I was wondering if you've had any updates from GPL? I have the same situation happening with them... paid $732.74 in past finance charges and $293.80 on current loan... I am in the beginning stages of fighting my battle with them.
