They were ordered to pay restitution to borrowers ( http://www.ag.idaho.gov/media/newsReleases/2011/nr_07192011.html )Sounds legit to me - if the check is from your state then it's definitely safe. If the check seems funky, take it to wal mart and have it cashed.

Hey..I got a similar letter also. I was thinking about what to do with the check (if I receive it). Thanks for the information.

I did ask questions about the settlement and the women that I spoke to was very nice, I called the main telephone number for the MN AG's office and wanted to make sure that this person who had called me actually did work there, you just never know who you are talking to when the phone rings, so I did get confirmation on this, she said it would take about 3 weeks and it has been that long, so maybe I am just being impatient, she had told me that she needed to call all of the people that were to get refunds before they would be sent out, she was confiming my address.

I never recieved a letter , only a phone call. I was told the letter and the check would come together. We will see.
