Goodtime cash aka Red River Ventures -- Illegal in Texas??

I live in Texas, and I think Apply Advance America is indeed legal, but on that Texas laws sheet it says that the only legal amount of interest is 12 dollars. They are charging me 25. Is that legal?
I don't think Goodtime Cash is legal, but I was wondering if any of you can tell me for sure. They operate under Red River Ventures. Please help! If I could find out this information it would give me such peace of mind.

You need to be careful in TX because many of these companies operate as Credit Service Organizations (CSO), not pdl's. Check your paperwork and see what the companies are listed as. Was Goodtime an internet or storefront?

From what I read when I searched Goodtime Cash, it did not appear to be licensed or a CSO..but I would make sure and be certain so you know which action to take.
As for Advance America, they are members of CFSA. This should help you work out a payment plan with them. Here is some information on CFSA.
