I was just telling my husband about the refund we'll supposedly be receiving from Upfront. If/When we get the check..is it wise to deposit it into my checking account? When they get the return check won't they be able to see the endorsement, bank name & checking account # & then actually have my signature on the back. Who the heck knows what these illegal jerks would do with that information. Where else could I go to cash the check??

Do NOT deposit it into your bank account. Pay the fee and have it cashed somewhere else. The liquor store, Walmart, the grocery store, wherever. So they'll charge you a few bucks to cash it. Pay it. Do NOT deposit it into your bank account.

I went 12 hrs without a cigarette cuz we couldn't scrape up enough for a pack. Holy cow...was I glad to see that bonus check today!!! I'm a smmooooookkkiinnn!!!!

ha ha ha too cool!! After I talked to hubby about all of this pdl stuff he started talking to me about posting an article in our company newsletter about pdls. We both know that there are probably a lot of dirvers out there that take these loans out to make ends meet. We both work for the same trucking company...I'm in operations & he's in recruiting. Would it be okay to mention the community for a place for drivers to go if they needed help? Trying to spread the word about the nasty pdls & where help can be found if they need it.

Good morning everyone!! Guess what??? I checked my account this morning & the 125.00 refund from Upfront posted to the account. woo woo!! Since that happened..I'm wondering now if I should keep the account open in case the other 3 that I have overpaid decide to do the same thing. My gut is telling me to close the account anyway cuz of the other 3 pdl's, but i don't want to lose out on my refunds either...let me know what you guys think!

lmk, if your account is "safe" from any debits, then feel free to keep it open for a bit longer. That's how I got my refunds. They put them back into the account that they have the information on. This is ONLY if you're sure that it has a hard debit block on it. This way, if the others want to refund you, they can just put a credit on your account. However, if you don't feel totally safe, close it. Then they would have to mail you a check. It's up to you, but I left mine open for a bit because I had some refunds posting to it. But I was totally sure it had a hard block on it. Deposits only.

I'll be talking to Clarice on Monday. I think as soon as I get it to a positive balance which i'm only 7.06 away from doing then they should be able to make it a deposit only account. I would just hate for them to try & put the money back in & the account be closed & them figure..okay well she closed her account so we don't need to refund her money. That would piss me off!

lmk, some pdl's will refund you the money to your account before they even tell you. I had refunds mysteriously appearing on my account. I swear. I had to call the bank and ask "Who the hell put this deposit in?" It was the pdl's that I had overpaid. I was kind of grateful it was still open, but with a hard debit block on it, since they just "snuck" refunds in. So I left it that way for a bit. I think I had 3 or 4 slip in refunds. Just make sure that the debit block is on there. I, too, was afraid that any others I was expecting would try to send a credit through and find it closed and figure "tough cookies" and I wouldn't get a refund. Once the refunds stopped, I closed it entirely.
