I am getting a refund!!

That is great news, but don't get to excited until you actually have the refund. How are they sending the refund to you? I hope you did not give them your new bank account number.

I know....I hesitated before I even posted this but, the email stated I would be getting in in 2 business days. I sent back and asked how they would be sending it.

I would ask for a certified check to be sent via US Postal Service. Don't give them your new bank account number if they say they want to electronically deposit it.

YAY for you! That was a HUGE accomplishment because I have NEVER known Eastside Lenders to even admit they are wrong! All the complaints you filed and your persistence has paid off! I am so proud of you and the way you handled yourself in this situation, congrats!

That is great news, and yes be cautious. I received the same type of email from Kingston Financial. They sent me a document to sign but the document did not state how the refund would be paid, so I would not sign it and I was given a short period of time to either agree with the arrangement or it would no longer be valid. I was not going to sign not knowing how they refund would be sent, so I waited a couple of weeks. signed there document and put right on it that it would only be valid if I received a cashiers check or money order in the mail and that I was able to cash it. They complied and I had no problems. Please keep in mind that a cashiers check once issued you can put a stop payment on it.

Thank you for the congrats and I feel pretty confident at this point. I should have the refund in a couple of days, I will let you all know when I get it. Shazzers and all the experts on here guided me on how to persist to fight for my rights. EL asked that when I get my refund to PLEASE withdrawl ALL of my complaints from ALL the agencies I have filed with.

Well.....I received a FULL REFUND of $950!! Persistence DOES pay off. I followed all the adivse and it lead me to getting my refund for the monies they illegally took!! I will do my best to pay it forward and share the knowledge with others. Thank you for you advise!!!
