I posted yesterday and received some great advice. I realize that the best way to handle these scumbags is to close your account, revoke their ACH privileges and work from there.
However, I can't risk taking a chance that they will call my HR department at my job and harrass them. I do not want to go throught that embarrassment.
I am prepared to pay them all in full in the next week or so.
I plan at that point filing complaints with the BBB and AG, and maybe the FTC as well. What do you think my chances will be in getting a refund of all the fees I paid to date?
Thanks again everyone. You all are great! :)

BTW-forgot to mention. I spoke with ameriloan and they were pretty good about the whole thing. The agreed to waive any further interest and let me pay the loan in 4 payments. I was relieved because I heard bad things about them.

Get all settlements in writing. Getting a refund is tough but I think a few on these boards have gotten a refund from time to time. Tell your HR department that some companies got your personal info and are now trying to use it to collect money you do not owe. You do not have to tell them they are PDLs and you voluntarily gave them the info though. You need to make sure that your company will not honor any bogus wage assignments that may originate from these PDL companies.
