what are they up to

I have 2 PDLs. I took both out after my hours was cut at work. That was in June. I made the first payment on both, and then my company layed us all off. I was not able to make the second payment.
Started getting calls but I was not home so they left messages on my machine. I had went to my mothers for 2 weeks. When I got home I tried calling them and they were rude and would not accept that I was layed off my job with only unemployment funds coming in. My unemployment does not even cover my regular bills.
Now all the calls have stopped. Are they going to sneak attack me with something?

They are both legal lenders. Is it possible for you to call each of the lenders and explain your situation again. Request an EPP.

An EPP would have been good before they defaulted. But once you default you can no longer get the EPP option. They are probably sending you to collections.

PayDayOne will work with you on payments if you have a pdl with them. From what people have been posting here they don't seem to be quite as willing to work with you if you have an installment loan though. Go to their web site and click on contact us and there is a form on that page you can fill out to ask for payment arrangements.
I'm not sure if CashNetUsa will work with you or not but they probably will.
Neither one of them will officially give you an EPP because neither one of them are members of CFSA. In fact my experience was that PayDayOne was'nt willing to even work with me until after I defaulted. I would email both and see what they will work out with you. Just don't give them any bank account info...money order or prepaid card only.

I was able to set up a payment arrangement with Paydayone when I defaulted with them years ago. Cashnet was a little harder to work with, we went back and forth with a few proposals before they agreed to a payment arrangement. Paydayone emailed me, but they never called. Cashnet on the other hand called constantly and even tried to debit my account a few times after I revoked their authorization. Cashnet also showed up on my credit report, they were the only ones from all the PDL's I dealt with in the past that did that.

I was able to get a payment plan from Payday One very easily by calling them. I called several weeks before my payment was due to tell them that I was tired of rolling the loan over and needed an option to finally pay it off. I had been rolling over a 500.00 loan for well over a year. They could not have been nicer to me-they even let me set my own due date that was more convenient for me. The odd thing is that soon (like the next day) after speaking to them I could no longer access their site and to date they have never taken any funds out of my account as agreed. I had long since paid the initial principal of 500.00 on my loan so I figure if they want the funds they will contact me. It has been several months now and still no word. Odd

Same thing here with the PDLS! The calls have stopped and have not heard a word. It is making me kind of scared. Not even nothing in the mail. They were calling endless all day.
I would try and talk with them when they called but all that accomplished was them getting nasty, so I would hand up.
I think silence is worse than the calls, because it makes you paranoid.
