Dear Mr. Glenn Fitzgerald,
This letter is to inform you of my situation with your company United Quick Cash AKA Payday Loan-Yes. I received a 350 dollar from your company on 10/25/07, the loan was to be due on 11/15/07, but due to fraudulent activities on my account I had to close that account, as you will see in the copies that I am including with this letter, I faxed over a letter to your company on 11/06/07 the day that my account was closed, informing you customer service agents of this matter, I didn????????t receive a response from the fax so I emailed it to, what I thought, was the gentleman that helped me with the loan, Justin, on 11/12/07. What I received next was an automated response, the same one I got when applying for the loan, so I emailed it again the same day, and again on 11/14/07, my next response came from a ???????Tim Atkins??????? which was also a automated response, saying that there was a problem with my checking account, so in turn I again emailed him the letters and kindly let him know that I had BEEN trying to reach them in effort to handle this situation. I keep getting phone calls at work after I clearly prohibited them, all I have been trying to do since NOVEMBER 11,2007 is to pay your company their money, I will also notify you that after doing research I have come to find out that your company is lending illegally, therefore I am only obligated to pay back what I borrowed, and I will do just that as soon as I get confirmation that you received this letter, and if there is a specific place you would like me to send it I would be happy to oblidge. I can be reached via email at or via USPS at
Thank you for you time
Regards,
CC: Attorney General Linda Singer

Should I send another letter to them restating my terms or should I just ignore it? I don't want to give them any kind of access to my account, they'll help themselves I'm sure. In my e-mail, I asked for a mailing address to mail the payment to them but as you can see, they didn't give it to me. They are only giving me the option of a credit card number, exp. date and the 3 digit code on the back of my card. YEAH RIGHT!!!! Like I'm going to give them that information!

They wont give you any info, and they already told me that I would have to pay a "fee" to get a copy of the loan docs which they would include with the payment, go figure! But from what i have heard it doesnt matter, you should abide by the laws of your state and not theirs no matter what they say, where do you live btw?

I live in AZ. I sent them the letter stating my state laws, etc. and they sent me that letter today. The only information that I requested from them is a mailing address to mail the balance and they are only giving me the option to pay by credit card. The amount that they are telling me I owe is more than what I am saying that I owe, of course.

All the other names are subsidiaries.
It doesn't matter what name you send it to, they are nasty to deal with and will probably refuse the letter anyways.

I just got a phone call from 480-365-0154 asking for me. I said that I wasn't there and I could take a message. The guy said that his name is Officer Stuart and that he is calling about an urgent legal matter. He's called my cell phone 2 times and my work number 3 times in the past 30 minutes!! I googled the number and there are some other similar complaints. Anyone have an idea of what company he might be from?
I have to admit, this is getting a little nerve racking. I have contacted all of my PDL companies and have requested all contact be made either via email or regular mail. I have been told by one that they do not abide by this (those were her exact words). I just said "thank you" and hung up.

I know that in government filings against them all the other names have been used, but not UQC. I have never seen anything linking them. I read over the post Tiffany read to get that info, and here is an excerpt:

Now looking at the information, you would think that there's a possibility that this is not the right business. However, there are two important things to look at here: 1) The D&B report pulled up only one entity in the entire state of Delaware by the name of United Quick Cash. 2) There is a difference between my research and the D&B report (United Quick Cash in Holly Oak vs. United Quick Cash in Claymont). So, I went to a zip code map. Holly Oak is zip code 19809. Claymont is zip code 19703. There is a difference of 2.69 miles from Claymont to Holly Oak. (Walking distance). [/quote]
I think that what happened was that Global Payday contracted some of it's collection out to this company. They do business services. Global is located in Utah and PA. Not DE. I think it's probable that these two companies had a business relationship, but I do not think that proves they are owned by the same company. I think something like that would've been found by the state officials that have fined Global big time. All their other DBA's are listed.

Okay . . . . Let me ask you this - How often to employess of payday lenders lie? I would not beleive anything anyone working for one and trying to collect for one tells me. But that's just me personally. I like actual proof, like government filings and such. If they were under the parent company Global Payday, as Payday Loan Yes is, there would be documents filed to prove so.

I called Officer Stuart back and he says that he has a warrant out for my arrest but wouldn't tell me what it was in regards to. I could barely understand him, he has such a thick accent. I kept asking him what it is in regards to and he said that he needs more time to give me that information. I asked him again and he said that I could call my local police department so I said "I'll call them right now" and hung up. He called back and left me a very nasty message. I did call the local police department and told them where he claimed to be calling from and what he said and she said that it sounded like a bill collector to her and that I shouldn't worry about it. I don't even know what company he's calling me from. He told me he's with the United Investigation Law Department and he works with the FBI. The police officer laughed when I told her that and said that she's never heard of such a company/department. Anyone else dealt with "Officer Stuart"?
Many have dealt with the likes of him . . . . He is full of air.

Next time he calls, tell him you talked to your local police dept. Tell him that what he told you broke the law, and that you've filed a police report against him. Tell him a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Do you know what company he is calling about? Is there anywhere

NOTICE TO UNLICENSED INDIANA LENDERS WHO ARE SOLICITING BUSINESS IN INDIANA Investigation by the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions (?Department?) has determined that your company is among several unlicensed entities making or offering consumer loans to residents of Indiana via the internet. Depending on the type of loan being offered, your company is in violation of IC 24-4.5- 3-502 and/or IC 24-4.5-7-102. These statutes reference consumer loans, and/or Small Loans (commonly referred to as ?Payday Loans?) and require a license issued by this office in order to make these consumer loans. During the recently concluded session of the Indiana General Assembly, there was a change to the statute governing the territorial application of the Indiana Uniform Consumer Credit Code, including the Indiana Small Loan Act. Effective July 1, 2007, IC 24-4.5-1-201 requires internet lenders to be licensed, and to comply with Indiana law, when making loans to Indiana residents. Additionally, IC 24-4.5-1-201(8) reads ?If a creditor has violated the provisions of this article that apply to the authority to make consumer loans (IC 24-4.5-3-502), the loan is void and the debtor is not obligated to pay either the principal or loan finance charge, as set forth in IC 24-4.5-5-202.? You are advised to Cease and Desist the offering of these types of loans to Indiana residents unless/until you have obtained the proper Indiana loan license. Consumers will be advised that these loans are not in compliance with Indiana Statutes and that these loans are considered null and void, and as a result, uncollectible. Additionally, the Department may seek injunctive relief under IC 24-4.5-6 in the event of continued noncompliance. All Financial Institutions operating within the state of Indiana will be advised that electronic payment and / or paper/check transactions connected with these illegal loans should be rejected if an entity is unlicensed. Consumers will also be advised on the procedure to stop electronic debits to their accounts using return codes. Questions concerning the acquisition of a loan license may be directed to this office. I'm not saying they aren't, I'm just saying that I haven't seen any proof they are.
They may be a collection agency contracted by Payday Loan Yes to collect on the loan. Or they may be connected with them. I know that Illinois recently hit Global Payday with a huge fine, and they listed all the known dba's on the order. UQC is nowhere to be found on it.
480-365-0154 - "Officer Stuart"
This number is linked to "United Legal Investigations Bureau" - a scam outfit. They have made calls from various phone numbers (including this one) threatening arrest. Those that have sent them money have been scammed - and they insist the person send more (even though the debts been paid).
Be wary - be VERY wary of dealing this this outfit...

This company sucks I got a loan from them in the amount of $200 and they said I have to pay 100 a month to pay it off. Well actually they are $100 out each month for fees and my loan amount has never went down. I am going to file bankruptcy in may but until then I don't want this company calling and harassing my references. I don't care if they call me but I don't want them calling anyone else. Can anyone tell me how to prevent them from calling my references???

I wish there were a way to stop that, but I haven't found one as of yet. All I can suggest is to tell your references they may be getting some calls about a debt you don't owe, say whatever you need to say to save face.
