Here is an email that I got from CPD today. First, let me just tell you that I have never gotten one single phone call from them and have not received an email from them in months, even though I have emailed the hell out of them...

Credit Protection Depot
1-866-645-1661

XXX,

Your bank returned the debited transactions to repay your loan obligation. Your account is now seriously delinquent. I have made several attempts to contact you both by phone and e-mail, with no response by you. I am attempting to make arrangements to settle this account. I am the last contact you will have with Credit Protection Depot before this account is turned over to an independent outside agency.
I feel I should remind you that your agreement states, you will be responsible for all collection fees, court costs and attorney fees associated with collection of this debt. If the account is turned over to an Outside agency they will charge additional fees over and above the amount you currently owe and will take whatever steps necessary for the total fees due which could possibly include a court appearance for a possible judgment be issued against you for the repayment of this legally binding debt.
I also feel I should tell you this action may not only affect your credit report rating but is also listed on the Tele Track System, which is used by Cash Advance Loan companies, rental companies, and other businesses, in determining whether or not to approve a loan. This could prevent you from even receiving a cash advance loan any where in the U.S. We must require that you render your payment in the amount of $515.00 via western union quick collect or money gram immediately. This payment reflects your balance as of April 29th 2008.

You need to go to Western Union and get the BLUE QUICK COLLECT FORM (or go to westernunion.com and choose the quick collection option)

1. COMPANY NAME: CREDIT PROTECTION DEPOT
2. CODE CITY: OFFER (ONE WORD NO SPACES).
3. STATE: NEVADA
4. ACCOUNT #: Your Social Security Number
5. The reference # is Your Telephone Number

You can also use your debit card or various charge cards at westernunion.com

OR you can go to Moneygram and get the BLUE EXPRESSPAYMENT FORM
1. The Company name is: CPD-OFFER
2. The Receive Code is: 4243
3. The City is: Las Vegas
4. The State is: Nevada
5. The Account Number is: XXXXX

If you are unable to pay $515.00 for the entire balance on the loan then we must require a minimum payment of $171.67 to place the account on hold.
If this account is referred for further review and action to our outside firm for additional collection efforts, it will commence activity on the account to be done to the fullest extent of the law in order to protect our interest in this matter. At that point, you will be responsible for all additional fees associated with costs involved for the collection of this debt.
IF THIS HAS BEEN AN OVERSIGHT ON YOUR PART AND IF YOU WISH TO REPAY THIS LOAN, PLEASE SEND YOUR PAYMENT OR CALL US IMMEDIATELY.

Please contact our office at 1-866-645-1661, immediately upon receipt of this notice in order to stop further collection action from being taken on this account, it will only benefit you to do so.
Sincerely,
Credit Protection Depot

My original loan amount was for $280. I have not paid anything towards this loan, however I have attempted to contact they to make payment arrangements and get an address to mail the money to. Please don't think I'm trying to get out of paying. How would you respond to this email?

Who are they collecting for? When they contacted me for MyCashNow and PayDayMax, I immediately faxed a copy of my C and D letter over to them. A return phone call netted me a closed account/PIF (original amount of loan) and an offer to pay the remaining balance on the original amount of my loan for PayDayMax. You should also report to their processor. Had I known that a month ago, that would have been the route I would have chosen. Keep us posted.

My MCN account was already paid the exact amount of the original loan and they closed it immediately. I still owed some on my PayDayMax loan and they settled that for what I still owed on the original balance. Both were only repaid what they deposited into my account. Call Intercept and ask them if they process for discount advances. If they do tell them that you have revoked ACH authorization on your loan and that they will continue to debit so you are asking them to revoke it. They emailed UFC right when I was on the phone with them. If they don't process for them try ACH Commerce and ask the same questions. The number are 1-800-378-3328 and 1-800-724-8780, respectively. If that doesn't work, ask your bank for the originator of the transaction when the deposit was made to your account. Keep us posted.

Thanks llw! You are awesome! I'm going to do that for all of the pdls I owe. I want to settle all for the original amount, as they are all illegal. I'm going to continue to email them and send letters until they are settled. Like I said, I have no problem paying the principal, as I feel I owe that, but those outragious fees are killing me.
