Please look at my last thread. I have postings of how much i owe, what the companies are that i emailed, and their repsonses. i want to know how i should respond to them. thanks!!!!

C, Mom, You both can do this. I put this on your other thread too....Keep responding with your pdl letter, add a comment if you need to but try to keep giving the same answer over and over. Do not let them scare you. If you need help or have questions you can post them. If there is a change in the situation let us know and we will help you figure out what to do next. You are doing a great job, both of you.

I actually called back and it wasn't from a PDL it was from an old credit card that I believe was taken out over the internet in my name by my ex. I'm going to be very honest here and tell you that the girl I spoke with could not haqve been any nicer! I was so shocked I even told her how much I had dreaded calling and how easy she had made it for me. She even told me that within 30 days of receiving a letter from them that I needed to send them a letter to validate the debt and doccumentation to prove it was mine.

She told me that once I had a chance to review what was sent and if it was in fact something of mine that they would offer a settlement amount which I could pay over two payments or if I couldn't do that they would make other payment arrangements with me.

I'm going to request everything I need to validate and once I get everything I plan to get some advice on moving forward.

Me neither... I really couldn't believe how nice she was and I went in to it prepared to do battle :)

I know they won't all be like that and I don't intend to take a bunch of abuse from them when they do start calling. That is why I love this forum... the support here is amazing!

I really wnated to send a follow up to M1Y... I had paid them $795 on a $250 loan and they are prohibited in NC. I still have not heard anythind from my fax sent in February. I'd like to badger them for a refund of the $545 over payment. Not that I think they would pay it but it would be nice.

Any reccomendations?

im actually preparing myself that i WONT get refunds for some of these pdl loans. :/ as long as i have money in my bank, and can control when I CAN pay them and stuff, then i'll be fine. they called my work the other day and my cord got tangled so i told them that and put them on hold. they eventually hung up but. i distinctly said not to call me at work :/
