If my husband closed his bank account before the check could be submitted by the storefront pdl, could he be criminally charged for a hot check?
In some states he could! Texas for example! Florida has a Bad Ch
In some states he could! Texas for example! Florida has a Bad Check Restitution program which stops one step short of prosecution as does California from what I read! That all I know!
