RJA Capital called me on 3/15/2013 stating that there was a summons that was going to be delivered to my place of employment for me and the only way to stop this was to setup a payment plan and make a payment of $500 that day.
They called my brother the same day looking for me and told him he was a reference on a loan I had taken out. He most definitely was not. They provided a case number to him and instructed to tell me to call them with it.
The loan was an online payday lender that was not licensed in my state and who i paid the principle balance back with interest and closed my bank account.
I have already paid this company $1000 and am about to send them a cease and desist letter so they can not withdraw anymore funds from my account.
I contacted the Law Offices of Michael Lupolover from this website
http://fdcpa-attorney.com/

They stated I have a good case and I would get $1000 from RJA Capital without paying court fees or attorney fees because they violated FDCPA. The only thing I would pay is the $6 for them to send me the check for the $1000.

Anybody have any info or guidance on this?

this bottomfeeding slime broke the law hand over fist so yes go get them.btw why did you pay voice over the phone?much less 1,000.00.yes sue them, but use this as a learning experience as well.

yo don't cease and desist to stop them from debiting.you need to close your account if they have that info.you must do that prior to filing suit.

Just close down your old bank account and open a new one to stop debiting money from your account. File a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC immediately.

no if they have proof of illegality then they sue.not enough people sue lawbreaking bottomfeeders.filing complaints is nice, but again if their is tangible proof then you sue.bottomline.
