I called them back after they spoke to her and that's when I found out who they were. I filed a complaint with NC Attorney General and the FTC. They didn't call yesterday, but then this afternoon proceeded to call my cell repeatedly. I can't have them calling my supervisor again and I need them to leave me alone. What can I do?
Did you tell them you cannot
Did you tell them you cannot receive calls at work?? You need to immediately mail and fax them a cease and desist letter.
http://www.unitedrecoverysystems.com/ In the contact there is an 800 number....call that number and specifically tell them that you cannot receive calls at work and that is it is your legal right under the FDCPA to demand this verbally. Then fax the cease and desist, telling them NEVER to contact you or anyone assoicated with ever again. Follow it up with a written demand send certified mail return receipt requested. You may also include in the letter that VIP loanshop is an illegal offshore lender and you do not owe them squat!!!!
Do you know if these guys are
Do you know if these guys are even located in the United States? But at any rate, I was really hoping this payday loan mess was behind me. I don't know if it will ever go away. I will do what you suggested tomorrow. Oh, and do you think I should talk to my employer about this?
well
nope they are not located in the US.now yes tell your supervisor that this is a scam outfit calling and to treat them as such.btw once your info is out there scams will call.i still get idiots calling every 9 months.just follow soaplady's lead and get a c&d out to these idiots asap, and again let your sup know that this is a scam calling.
