I have made the difficult decision to file bankruptcy. Unfortunately, I have filed bankruptcy previously, so I can't file again until Feb. Some places have been nice about it...others not so nice. I am having a lot of trouble with Check into Cash. They are claiming I have to call them every single day and check in with them. Has anyone else had this experiece? I also have a Check n Go Installment loan and they are being rather mean as well. Cashnet USA were nice at first, but since I haven't actually filed bankrupcy...they are getting mean. How am I going to live through the next 5 months? It's crazy. Any suggestions?? Thanks for your help !

What can they do to you? Hopefully you have closed your bank account and revoked your wage assignment. Stay off the phone. Cease and desist any CA calling. They cannot garnish your wages or touch anything else without a court order....and they do not happen over night.

I have closed my bank account. What do you mean by revoking my wage assignment. I guess I need to do that. Can I send the companies a 'cease and desist' letter now or do I have to wait until it goes to a collection agency? One of the companies is calling a friend of mine. Can I tell them to stop doing that? Thanks !

Yes, tell them to stop calling your references. They have your contact info. There's no reason for them to be contacting your references anyway.

They'll likely just assign your accounts to collection agencies. You'll be fine until you file bankruptcy.

Send all of them an email telling them you revoke ACH permission and any wage assignment you may have signed.
