So, I, like many others on this forum, found myself in payday loan hell...I live in NY

Here are the loans that I defaulted on:
SDS Processing - loan amount: $250 - paid $375 in ACH withdrawals + $432 to NCA
VIPLOANSHOP - loan amount: $300 - paid $450 + $373.34 to TRS
Everest Cash - loan amount: $300 - paid $135
Red Stone - loan amount: $400 - paid $280
MyCashNow - loan amount: 490 - paid $594.27
MyCashNow - loan amount: $500 - paid $0
MyCashNow - loan amount: $740 - paid $0
Paydaywiz - loan amount: $400 - paid $240 + 459.88 to SHW WEST
Loanshop Online - loan amount $400 - paid $510
Alpine Direct - loan amount: $250 - paid $225
TLC FastCash - loan amount: probably $200 - paid $237
Sandpoint Capital - loan amount: $150 - paid $90
Payment Direct - loan amount: $200 - paid $178
Liberty Group - loan amount: $300 - paid $90
Beacon - loan amount: $200 - paid $89

Also, Alpine Liberty Group and Sandpoint are at NCA at this point, where I paid $ 220 for those three accounts.

If anyone can offer some guidance/pointers to stop these leeches from trying to suck money out of me (and hopefully get some refunds - although I don't really think that I will get any)

Thanks!

You should note that payday lending is illegal in New York. In such a situation, all the payday lenders that you've listed here will be illegal. You will be liable for paying only the principal balance to them. You won't be responsible for paying any finance charges or late fees to them. In order to know more on dealing with illegal payday lenders, check out the given page: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html

Since they are illegal in your state, the first thing you should do is to close your account to stop any more withdrawals. Then you can send them a letter revoking ACH authorization and rescinding wage attachment. Do NOTsend the letters until your funds are secured, as they will immediately try to access your account.

Follow the information in the stickies dealing with illegal payday loans, etc.
