BellaLisa: Thanks for the information. Did you just stop paying them and wait for them to contact you, or did you send them a letter in the beginning. I am just starting to climb out of the "payday trap" and want to make sure I am taking the right steps with them. Thank you again for your support on this.

I closed my account first, made sure that it was closed with the bank, and then I sent my letters. Plain Green will send their accounts to National Credit Adjustors. There is a lady Connie there that is nice, but Plain Green is tribal with no license, so the principle should be paid back. Do it on your terms though :)

Just make sure that your account is 100% closed before you send out your letters!

It's sort of our opinion not to repay the collection agency once the original creditor charges it off. Plain Green is usually VERY good about accepting settlements and issuing over-the-principle refunds when you state the loan is illegal. There is really no point in paying a CA for a 300 dollar loan from plain green - especially national credit adjusters. They are known extensively to buy illegal debt and then try to collect on it - they probably buy it from plain green for less than 50 bucks, if that.

[COLOR=black]Good Morning from Nevada:

First let me say thank you to all of you and God Bless you all for your time and support. It is nice to know there are people in this world that care.

I came across your site after search for help, just this week, when a fradulant loan company got a hold of my bank account. I had to close my account and reopen a new one. My new account, with the same bank, has no link to the new one.

I too have fallen into the "payday trap". But after looking at your site I started to become education about these loan sharks. I have two questions. I took out a $500 loan with Plain Green on Dec. 12, 2011 with Plain Green. I paid it off to the tune of $1182.12. Stupid as I was I got another loan on 7/3/12 for $700 which I have made two payment for a total of $458.80. If you add the two loans up to a total borrowed of $1200, I have repaid $1640.92. I am going to send them a letter, one of the examples on your site, requesting a refund of $440.92. Does this appear to be correct calculations in your opinion.

Second stupid thing I did was get a loan for $200 from 500FastCash. I repaid that loan for a total of $525. Again being uneducation on these types of loans I got another loan on 8/15/12 for $350 from 500FC, and haven't made a payment on that. However, adding the two loans together, I have paid them $525, against the $550 I borrowed. I believe I should owe them only $25. Your thoughts please on both?

Having all my funds taken out of my checking out last week there is no way I can repay them any more.
There may be light at the end of the tunnel.

Again, God Bless your ALL.

Thank you!
