Sounds like a new scam to me! Did they loan you money which you have to repay on your next payday? Do you have to pay fees to reloan? If yes, they are a PDL!! Don't let them tell you otherwise!!

yes it has a 79.90 roll over fee every payday. I have been emailing them back and forth because they keep telling me they are not a PDL. I will send my email again, which I also requested a refund.

I have used them before and paid them off fortunately. They were able to break down my payment into 3 payments actually, and were pretty easy to work with. I would say they are a PDL company as well, with a twist. The money they give you they call a "rebate" for the phone cards. I think I should request a refund as well because I have overpaid them as well. :(

I have sent them another email to have them refer to my email again and requested that they pay me in full as I have overpaid. I have not even used the phone cards, didn't really think about using them. I was just trying to get the loan. I will update when I find out what they say.

This does sound like a scam for a pdl! I would report them to your AG office, especially if they are not allowed to operate legally where you live!..KAren

I have sent all letter to the ag office. I have a question. Has anyone had any success with magnum cash advance. I have taken a loan out with them and only made the one payment, but after coming to this website I see that I have paid above and beyond interest on several other loans with them. Just wondering. :?:
Payday loan was sent to collections
I have faxed upfrontmoney.com since May and we went back and forth as to what was owed and how much they wanted me to pay. Well I sent them a fax on the 11th and then sent them a fax on the 13th, indicating I have paid the loan in full. 200.00 loan and have paid 539.80. They advised I didn't. Well now they have sent it to a collection agency called sterling & king. What to do next?
Have you filed with the BBB and DFI in regards to upfrontmoney?
Have you filed with the BBB and DFI in regards to upfrontmoney? Have you heard anything back from the AG's office yet? Sometimes it takes a while for them to contact these pdls.

Yes, definitely file with the BBB, DFI (Department of Financial Institutions...they regulate banks and ALL lenders, ie. storefront and payday lenders), and FTC. I have filed complaints on different ipdls, and the BBB has gotten good results on a few of those. So it is definitely worth a shot! You have nothing to lose by doing this, and everything to gain! :)
Crazy
Wait a minute. This is crazy! You are paying every week for "phone cards"??? What the?? How much money did they put into your account? Did they deposit money into your account? I'm assuming so. This is nuts! Have you stopped the debits? How much did they put in and how much have you paid so far?
Phone cards
I have used this service as well and actually think it is better than a PDL. it's kind of like a cell phone contract where they give you "Up front money" instead of giving you a free phone. Then you have to buy phone cards instead of cell phone minutes. Did you actually read their terms on the site before you signed up? They tell you what's going on. Not sure what the AG can do if you actually signed that you read teh terms. Anyhow, good luck!

No they did not state a refund. I did respond to them thanks for the pif, but since I have overpaid, can you please look into a refund. We shall see. Thank you for your support... :D
upfrontmoney
I have dealt with this company upfrontmoney. I was offered a $200 rebate for purchasing phone cards which wld be paid at $89 every 2 weeks for 10 months. This is a severe overcharge if you ask me.After contacting the company by phone and email for a month straight about not being able to access my cards and 3 debits totaling $270 out of my bank account I cancelled the ach transaction.I advised them of this by phone before calling my bank. This company then changes the dollar amount and debits $379 from my account which I had to fight with my bank over.I was refunded this money by the bank of course after they tried contacting the company for the dispute process which takes 30 days i believe.Anyway I have filed a complaint wit the bbb.I found they are placed on my credit report which I am also disputing.Do not do business with this company. They are charging for a service they fail to provide and then try to charge you like you broke the contract
Ihave delt with upfront money also and havent recieved any phone

Read the Terms and conditions
all I have to say is read before u sign, and the reps clearly state that when ur on the call, they read u what thats about, they ask u if u have any questions, Hello ppl thats ur time to Ask Questions and back out of it, but NO ppl are so caught up by getting money instantly, they dont think about the consequences of paying it back when the time comes

there is no refund, the contract clearly states, by you signing that u agree to the terms of a 10 month contract to receive digital phone cards every 2 wks based on what ever rebate amount you are qualified for. If ur not interested in receiving the digital cards then they advise u to call back 2 days prior to the payment date, to cancel and pay term fee, where they will work with you on splitting the termination fee. They are not a PDL company and never have been, and never will be, report all u want, the company is legitimate

This company is a crock, preying on people in desperate situations! After all, how many people found this company looking for "phone cards"??? and who wants "phone cards" that cost more than cell service and a land line combined! Also, when I tried to call the 800 number I was given, I was just sent a text that tried to get me to sign up for something else I didn't need! It's a scam!
Actually you can work out a payment arrangement with them.... I
Actually you can work out a payment arrangement with them.... I currently have 2 payments left with them and I didn't default either.

How do i stop upfrontmoney.com from debiting my account
I got a loan from them in Sept for 200.00 and still til this day they keep debiting my account 89.90 every 2 weeks for some damn phonecards that i dont use.. I have like 8 phone cards that are unused so if you calculate i've payed them since Sept 539 for a 200 loan...what should i do if i "cancel" the 10 month contract i owe them 289.90
PDL
I got a loan from upfrontmoney for 200.00. The following pay they had taken 434.00 out of my checking account, which caused me to have so many overdraft fees that I had to close my account. Now a collection agency is calling me, telling me it is a fellony, and I owe over 800.00 to them. I don't know what to do. Oh, and the extra 300.00 that they took was for calling cards which I didn't even get. And why would I need calling cards, I have a cell phone unlimited. Somebody please help me.

I received a loan for $300.00. Now , I'm being told that I owe over $800.00 not including bank charges. I never received any phone cards. This company is a rip off. A lady called me from there and I told her to call me on my cell phone instead of work phone and she called me a fuckin idiot. So I called back to speak to a manager and she hung up on me several times. I spoke with a guy to complain and he was just as bad. You can't even communicate with these people. They are ruthless. I'm filing with the BBB and turning this over to an attorney that is willing to look into this. The mere fact that I ask to have the conversation on my cell phone instead of my desk phone because my calls are monitored and recorded. In this case it's good because it taped the whole conversation. So if her office will not do anything to discipline her I will find another way.
