I'm defaulting on a company called payday avenue and I have signed a wage assignement with them. My question is how long will it take them to do a wage assignment?

I haven't dealt with Payday Avenue; however, I have had a wage assignment thrown at me from another pdl. And they took awhile before they sent it to my employer. I had already revoked the wage assignment; however, they sent it anyway. Have you covered your bases by sending a letter revoking wage assignments signed??

I haven't done anything yet, but my payment with them will default this week and I was wondering how long I had before they would try to attach my wages, or if they might try to work out payment arrangements first, or what might happen. To be honest I'm a little embarrassed and worried about sending my payroll dept. any info. on this.

I can understand that, it's no fun letting other people know you're having debt problems, but it's important that you send this pdl company a letter revoking any and all rights to wage assigment, and giving a copy to your payroll person, otherwise they will find out anyway and money will be taken right out of your wages. :?

Payday Avenue wasted no time trying to exercise their wage assignment when I defaulted with them. Once they realized I was not able to pay the full amount immediately and wouldn't take arrangements, they contacted my HR department within a few days. All you need to do is send your payroll dept something like this....

I, Boomhauer, hereby revoke any and all wage assignments that I may have signed.

Send it to your payroll dept immediately, and send Payday Avenue a copy. I was actually to email mine to someone in HR and then I also sent them a hard copy. They told Payday Avenue to get lost when they contacted them.
