do what I did
I had a guy call me 8x in one day last week. He claimed sheriff would be at my door, I would be arrested, yada yada yada. He had a think accent and put on his office attorney (surprise, India).
Finally,on last call, my husband took the phone and blew a loud whistle into receiver.
Guy hasn't called back. Probably still recovering. lol

That is exactly what these con artists bank on. Never ever fall for such crap. Debts are civil, not criminal so you cannot be charged for any of those things, let alone arrested.
Yes, you can sue these people. Most definitely. Contact a NACA attorney. You would need to find out who these people are exactly and gather enough evidence before you proceed.
