Payday Loan Mess/Question

Hey all, new to the forums.. will register! so heres my situation I have 5 loans and I live in NY. I know payday loans are illegal here. These are the 5 loans I have
Golden Valley Lending 300 loan paid 612 dollars
Advance Me Today 700 Loan paid 1290 dollars
500 Fast Cash 600 Loan paid 720 dollars
US Fast Cash 650 Loan paid 390 dollars
Cash Direct Express 1000 Loan paid 296.30
I'm planning on going to speak to the branch manager at my bank on Monday to close my account and open a new one and start sending out ACH revocation letters to the bank and lenders. My question is I'm pretty sure 500 fast, US fast and ADvance me today are illegal lenders. Not sure about Golden Vallley and Cash Direct Express in NY.
Also, just by reading the forums, I understand that no matter what I have to pay the prinicpal of my loans. Once my bank account is closed, do I pay the remaining amount of the prinicpal through money order? I'm not sure if they accept that. I'll welcome all feedback. I want to end this once and for all.

Payday lending is prohibited
Payday lending is prohibited in NY. All lenders are illegal in your state. You owe nothing more than the principal. Close down your old bank account and open a new one. Make your all payments via money order because it is less risky.

What it comes down to is they want their money, they will accept payment via money order. You are in control...you pay it how and when you find is convenient.
