I have a payday loan with speedycash. It is an internet loan, I have done a lot of reading as to which loans are legal and which ones arent and I am confused about this company. Is this a legal lender? I am in Louisiana. The other question is this they loaned me 500.00 and my state max is 350.00 how can they do that and be legal? I cannot pay the amount due of 582.50 and am wondering what options I have...

Speedycash is not a legal lender in Louisiana and therefore you are only morally obligated to pay back the $500. Have you closed you bank account so that they cannot take any money from you? If not, I would close my account immediately.

I am closing the account tomorrow actually talked with the bank

I am closing the account tomorrow actually talked with the bank today, I also have another one with cashnetusa that I owe 180.00 on. I am also confused on this one I have read threads that stated it is legal but I checked the office of financial institution list and they are not listed as a licensee. Thank you so much for your help..
