Plain Green Loans in RI

Hi I took a $2,000 loan out from Plain Green loans and I have been paying $134 every 2 weeks since July. It is now October 25th, 2012 and they have my balance at $1,893.00. Is there anything that I can do. When I spoke to a customer rep she said my full payback balance would be $5,000. Someone please help me.

my personal experience with Plain Green: closed my bank accoun
my personal experience with Plain Green:
- closed my bank account, sent them ACH revocation.
- notified them that payday loans were illegal in my state
- threatened to notify my state's Attorney General
all above via email. after going back and forth with them a few days after they insisted they were legal, they first tried to get me to agree to a payment of balance plus interest.
when I restated again that I would only pay the principal with credit for ALL payments made - they finally agreed to 4 monthly payments of $100 of which half is paid.
They know they are illegal and will try to get as much as they can from you. Hold your ground and you will win out in the end!
