Why does the BBB show a Miami, Florida connection? Do you have any thoughts?

I'll be interested in seeing if anyone knows the answer to that too llw1995. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Could be another business with the same name. I had star advance. If you go to their web site in terms and conditions it lists their address as in costra ricanad it also says they are governed by the laws oidf Panama . All you need to do is go to their web site.

Thanks Kash. . . . .I have read their website and they do list Costa Rica and Republic of Panama as their "address" so to speak. Not sure about the BBB thing. I'm going to send something via email to Hillary Jones and then I am going to fax it and hard copy it to both addresses I have. Hopefully, some one from that "organization" will take notice.

I was sure that I had seen a Florida address somewhere on Star Advance but even the BBB was listing it as just Miami, Florida when I made my complaint. I would appreciate the expertise of this board to help me figure out what they are up to. Thanks a bunch

It must be just a fake address. As you saw on their site they are located in Costa Rica and giverned by the laws of panama. This could just be a mail drop for them. I would not worry about them at all.It really does not matter what the mailing address is . If they are not licensed in this country, they can have a million us addresses. They are still illegal.

Kash.. I am not worried about them I am just not sure if I should respond. I have my letter already for them regarding the closing of my account, and all the rest, which will be going on in an email, a fax, and a hard copy via the USPS. Think there is a snowballs chance that I could get this resolved to my liking?

One more thing. . .I have already repaid $106 and change.

Well, being that they are not even licensed anywhere in this country, it really is resolved to your liking.The ball is in your court to handle them any way you chose. There is no way they can legally touch you.

Kash: I was considering emailing back, accepting the term to mail them they payment instead of them gaffing it and offering to pay xx number of dollars each month on the REMAINING balance which is something like $293.00. Would it hurt to put it out there?

Its fine if that is what you want to do. We do always advocate paying back the principle on the illegal loans. You are doing the morally correct thing. GO GET UM!!!!!!!!

Kash. . . thanks to the weather we had a weater day at school today so I am off. Normall I would be with the boys I Nanny for after school, but one of them is sick and I'm no feeling so great myself. I have plenty of time to word and reword my email before I send it back. I will agree to sending "paper" money to them in the form of a money order, more than likely, but only for the remaining amount on the principal and also on my terms. Wish me luck.
