Check this out everyone, Staradvance just sent me this "settlement offer" even though they are SO illegal and not even in the US:

They then break down a bunch of "payment plans" which are ridiculous.

Can you believe these guys? They come out of the woodwork after several months and offer me this garbage???

Wait a minute! Jen, you didn't post all the options for us to read. I do believe that if you chose "Option B", it would mean "Bite Me"??? Am I correct in assuming this? :D

I just received this same form letter. I have a 200.00 loan out with them. They emailed me and told me that they tried debiting my bank account two times and the payment came back two times so now they are charging me a NSF fee of 25.00. I checked with my bank because I had the money in my account when I set up payments arrangements. My bank informed me they show no record of a Star Advance trying to debit my account and there should not have been a problem with the transactions. After reading through a lot of forums about paying back pay day loans I now understand since they are not licensed in my state (much my country) I legally do not have to pay them back. I do however want to pay back the 200.00 I owe them for morale reasons. My dilema is they will not give out an address or a phone number (only a fax number). How am I suppose to get a payment to them? I put a stop payment on them with my bank after all the problems I have been having with them saying my payments are being returned from bank. I sure don't want to authorize them to take any more payments out of a bank account. I don't trust they will only take the 200.00 out (the principle). Any suggestions? Thank you.

As an escapee from the "Star factory" myself, I would choose option F. Haven't heard from them for a long while, but I DID tell them that since PDLs' were illegal in Maryland, if they felt there was a problem, I was working with our State Commissioner of Financial Regulation, and they'd be glad to talk to them.
