I live in Washington State and have several internet payday loans that I have been paying on and can't seem to get ahead. I have loans out with Magnum Cash Advance where I have paid almost twice the amount I borrowed already, and they are taking out $447 a paycheck every other week, I have a loan with Star Cash Processing, as well as Zip19.com. I was relieved to find out through info in this forum that none of these businesses are licensed in Washington State to do business. I am planning on sending them a letter that I formatted per the template provided for How to Deal with Illegal Lenders. I am planning on emailing and faxing them out tomorrow. Can they still harass me and call my employer even if the letter I sent states that I want them to contact me only via mail and can they also sue me and take me to court or send my accounts to collections? I'm pretty sure I overpaid Magnum in interest and I keep paying Star Cash Processing $90 out of each check for a $300 loan (total paid of $270 so far) and have borrowed $800 from Zip19 and couldn't pay them back in time. Zip19 is asking for a total of $1017 and I have paid them $500 so far. I'm really stressed out....thanks for taking the time to read this and I appreciate any other advice or info you can share.
