Give us more information...and why would the state get involved? What state do you live in, who is the lender and how much to owe and how much have you paid. As a general rule, financial matters do not involve the state.
im in florida and a few people have told me the state can get in
im in florida and a few people have told me the state can get involved. I owe advance america $500 for almost 2 yrs now and im worried they may soon have a warrant out if i dont pay. Obviously ive struggled to pay this off since ive lost my job 2 yrs ago

The state can't get involved, it's illegal in the US to arrest people for debt. Debt's a civil matter between you and the lender.
