Thanks to the info on this board, I have been able to fight back against WS/CC. I revoked my ACH back at the beginning of the summer, and filed a complaint with the State of NJ Department of Banking and Insurance.

A few weeks after filing my complaint, I received a call from an investigator, telling me the State is looking into it. I never thought I would hear back after that. Today I received a call asking me to forward my loan documents to him as the Attorney General is planning on filing in court soon. The Investigator did not say when, since the AG has had the information from the Banking Department since 2011, but it certainly sounds like it may happen sooner than later, it is an election year after all.

If you live in NJ, file a complaint with the Department of Banking. The more of us they hear from, the more motivated the AG might be to join the other states that have filed.

That's exactly what happened with me. I'm in Michigan and I got a phone call shortly after making a complain with the AG and low behold I was stunned to get a phone call! I just got another call 2 days ago the court date is Sept. 24th for us in Michigan and that want me to testify as a witness which I would love to, but I work midnights the night before and te court is an hour and half away. But as long as my name is included with the lawsuit, I'm good. I hoping for a refund of overpayment which would be $942 but I'll be glad if it's just done and over!!

I am from NJ too and just started the process into these loans. I also called the NJ Banking and Insurance on Friday. The gentleman there told me to call the NJ Consumer Affairs on Tuesday. Which department did you file with? If it was with the NJ Banking and Insurance can you provide me the name and number of the person who handled your complaint.

I also filed in NJ so its the wait and see game... Even if we never see the refund for the overpayment, at least its a step to shut them down and give me some ammo to get this off my credit report!!
