Still no response to letter

They're probably trying all of their tactics of getting at your money. Once they realize they can't, they'll call. Refunds happen. It depends on how aggressive you are.

Why the call to the AG? Did you not file a complaint yet? You really need to follow through on that. Generally, you can file directly on the AG's website.

Someone tried to scam me about a month or so ago and I went to the police and completed the form online. The AG's office called and left a voicemail for me to contact them about that complaint. We are playing phone tag right now but I am also going to inform them of this PDL service too.

Here's the response I just got from my second email:

You should respond, again siting your state's laws regarding PDLs. You should inform them that you do not owe them anything that, in fact, they owe you $596 and you'd like to know when they intend to pay you.

I live in PA and can't find the exact law stating they are prohibited. Would it be on the AG website? I couldn't find the link here.

Response sent requesting my refund...again. haha Even reading everything that says they can't sue me or send me to collections I am worried. I hate that I ever got into this mess. thankfully it was just that one loan. Never again! Thanks for the help and support. So glad I found this site.

Even if they send it to collections, all you have to do is DV them. They can't possibly validate a debt for an illegal loan. No reason to be worried. It's just an annoyance. You are VERY lucky it's only 1 loan.

Thanks Ohiogal. I was hoping for a refund but with my luck, it will go to collections and I will have to send them a letter. Most likely, that $596 is gone. :( I need to just be thankful that this is over for the most part.
