i already stopped paying these payday loan sharks because i cant afford them anymore and they're calling me at work. how can I make this stop? i am afraid of getting fired.

Dear Guest,

First of all?????????????????????don????????t panic???????.it????????ll lead you to no constructive solution???????So, stop panicking first.

Like you many of us had gone through payday loan problems, sometimes even at a much greater extent (you can see hundreds of cases if you browse through this community by searching through the search-box in the upper-right hand side of the page). Most of us have come out of this ordeal through the voluntary help of the community members and I am sure that you can too.

Now, coming to your question???????.your question is not clear. So, please give us the following information so that we can answer you queries better: -
??????? Which state do you live in?
??????? What are the PDL companies?
??????? What are the loan amounts of your different PDLs?
??????? Which of the PDLs are internet ones and which are from store fronts?

Thanks&Regards,

Phoenix

Unfortunately, the original creditors aren't obligated by the fdcpa laws. Hence, there is no means to stop them calling you, but you can still request them to stop calling you at the workplace.

Lemme make one thing clear, stopping payments on what you owe isn't a solution, because if the creditors want they can move to the court and can get a judgement against you. Try to reply to the questions asked by phoenix, so that we can do a bit of investigations regarding the pdl laws of your state. Some states have laws to regulate the menace of the pdl lenders, you also need to search for the availability of such protection in your state.

What do you need to do to get them to stop calling you at work, just ask them? Loanshop is calling me at work several times a day, even though I have a working home telephone number with voicemail. I have instructed that I am not allowed to receive personal calls at work, and still they call me.

just send a limited C&D letter, specifying no calls at work.send it certified mail return receipt.
