In the section on this site which gives payday loan laws for each State, I'd suggest calling the Maryland Commissioner of Financial Regulation and see what they say about it. I live in MD and had internet payday loans and they helped me quite a bit. They might at least be able to advise you as far as if you'd be held liable under Delaware or Maryland law.

These are storefront pdls. They are going to go by the state law where the pdls were taken out. It doesn't matter if you live in Tennessee and took them out in Delaware. You took them out in Delaware. What you need to do is NOT default, if possible. If you're having problems with making full payment, try to set up a payment arrangement with them. Also, check to see if they are members of the CFSA, of which you would then be able to invoke the EPP and make payments on them. However, you must not be in default to invoke the EPP if they are members of the CFSA. I know you don't intend to purposely default on these storefronts, but just thinking that because you live in another state that you're "safe", you're really not. Please try to set up payments with them. If you can't get results with the storefront managers, call the corporate office. They may be able to help you more than the managers regarding making payments.
