when was your due date?what state are you in?it may not be too late to request an EPP(extended payment plan).that would break your balance into 4 equal payments with no additional interest.go in person and speak to the manager to do this.no you can't go to jail.debts are civil matters not criminal ones.

I live in ohio. It was due today 11/14/08 I put a stop payment on it yesterday. How long do I have before they take criminal action....

they can't take criminal action.debts are civil matters.i would go in and explain your situation to the manager.it might not be too late to request the EPP.even if i is you can probably still work it out with them.do not worry you won't go to jail,so relax.
