Lift off in 3..2..1

First let me say thanks for all the wonderful advice on this forum. It has really been helpful to me. I have started the long and arduos process of digging myself out of my pdl debt thanks to you guys. One step at a time...
Just wanted to ask the question- has anyone ever sucessfully worked out payment arrangements with LEGAL pdl companies. I know we have the EPP here but at this point I cannot afford to do that on my storefronts, so I tried it the old fashioned way and sent revocation letters and stopped my checks (the bank also stopped ach debits for those two checks-hope it works). I called the collections at Mister Money and the guy was actually pretty easy to work with. I'm hoping that they don't flip the script on me and try to debit me to death, but for what's it worth- he did let me set up arrangements, and seemed eager to do so. The other- Cash America- isn't really being that helpful so I am a little worried that the fit is going to hit the shan when their check comes back stopped. I am in KY, so I know they can't throw me in jail.
In my letters, I even reiterated that I really do intend on paying back every bit loaned to me and the finance charges, I just can't do it all at once. I need to hear some happy endings, guys. :)
