Can a pdl lender sue a person who has moved out to a different state?

I heard that a pdl lender can only sue a person in that state from where the loan is taken. I have moved out. Not that I won't pay back the loan but can't do it now. I know they are legal. Is it true?

Lenders have to file a lawsuit against you in the state where the debt originated. Okay. Is it an online payday loan or store front payday loan? In most states, payday loan companies have been asked to stop making collection calls or file lawsuit against borrowers due to the pandemic. So, you are less likely to be sued now. You can ask if they have an alternative payment plan for you.

Hey Vanbert!

I am not aware of such a pdl law.

You better call this number 800-DEBT-913 to know what you should do now?

Thanks!
