Can I be taken to court for web-based payday loans?

It also depends on if you mean civil or criminal. Criminal no, even thought this is an infamous threat the unlicensed internet payday loans threaten consumers with. The biggest CA out there to threaten is Bass and Associates in Florida. Most IPDLS use in house collection department that they like to give a scary name for, like their "Investigations Dept."

I am in the state of louisiana. I have made arrangement with all of my ipdl's except arrowhead investments who say they have turned me over to icollect. however, i am getting threatening calls from bass and associates. they say they will arrest me if i don't give them seven hundred when my loan was only for three hundred. Can they do this? what can I do?

I believe, correct me if I am wrong, that ICollect is also Bass and A$$es. And don't sweat them saying you are going to be arrested, THEY ARE LYING AND THEY ARE BEING INVESTIGATED BY FLORIDA'S ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE FOR MAKING FALSE THREATS LIKE THIS. Please, whatever you do, DO NOT send these crooked people any money no matter what they say. If they threaten you with arrest again just say "Damn, I just got out, my parole office is not going to be pleased with me". File a complaint with Florida's AG office. The clock is ticking on this crooked collection agency.
