I posted a while back about Webpayday...They have continued to call me several times/day at work, and are telling me they do not have a mailing address, and they must have my payment by debit card, or they will proceed with taking any tax refund I receive...I cannot send them a C&D letter without a mailing address, nor can I send a payment...Any advice would be appreciated.

well first of all they can not take your tax refund the pdl's are exempt from that nonsense. The only things that can be attached to income tax refunds are child support/student loan debt and the like..they are just trying to scare you into paying. Other's will be along shortly to assist you further.

Internet PDL's are illegal in KY...Period! They can't collect on it, even if you paid them NOTHING. (Which I don't condone--we should pay back what we borrow) They most certainly can not seize anything from you, let alone your tax refund. You MUST file a complaint with the AG's office. You can download a complaint form from their website, fill it out, and fax it back. They also have a hotline. KY is very big on consumer protection--now if they would just outlaw all those storefront PDLs!

gord, WebPayDay might turn you over to a collection agency. They have a tendancy to do that even if you have paid/overpaid. If they do that, you'll certainly have a mailing address (of the collection agency). However, have you filed with the BBB yet? WebPayDay is pretty good a resolving through the BBB without a problem. Try that route. But definately (as posted above)file with the KY attorney general. WebPayDay will probably continue to call while the AG works on it; however, they'll send WebPayDay letters. Please try the BBB if you haven't already. If you still have problems with them, go ahead and post. I can look up my information on both WebPayDay and the collection agency - which I have at home.

I have to disagree. WebPayDay is not associated with Cash Transfer Centers. I have dealt with both.
