I had a check out to a place in Tennessee called Cash Advance. It's locally owned, a very small store. The check bounced in the midst of working through all this PDL hell (I didn't CLOSE the account before it bounced, so it was just a bounced check). They calll me all the time at work, harassing me, and on my cell. I cant have personal calls at work so I sent them a letter via FED EX and stated I would be willing to make payments, etc, and gave them a new address because I have moved. They just left me a nasty voicemail.

She said that they WILL NOT work payment arrangements with me, that's company policy and I will need to bring the $260 NOW or come renew it NOW, it's the only option.

I WILL not renew this, absolutely no way. I am not getting in this again. Everyone else is working with me, and this company is nasty and hateful. I specifically asked for A) everything in writing, B) no phone calls at work (and that I wouldn't answer calls to my cell if they blocked their number) and C) to make payments. They said in the voicemail they will stop blocking their number, but they'll call me at any number they want to, I cannot make payments, and they "tried" to mail me stuff, but I need to call them with a new address. I SENT THEM the new address!

They are incredibly uncooperative. What are my options?

Did you send it certified, return receipt requested?
They will eventually take you to court, so, what I would do is this. I would send them a letter with an outline of how I intend to pay them back (make sure you can afford it), I would include a good faith payment with my letter (money order), then I would continue to make my payments as I outlined in the letter I sent to them. They may continue to tell you they can't accept payments but continue to send your payments, by the time this goes to court you will probably have it paid off, and if you don't, it will look good on you in a court of law. Make sure you follow through if you use this plan.

Shazzers,
I have one company in particular doing this. They said the only way they will work with me is if I get current first. And get this, to do so I have to write them another check. The only checks I have left are the ones from the account I had frozen.......her response....."That's ok.....we will take one of those checks". What are they up to? How long do I usually have before they try to take me to court? How do you know if the money orders are being cashed? Also, I have heard some of these guys using prepaid debit cards to make payments. Bad idea?
