I live in Tennessee and owe over $1400 on 3 online payday loans: $200 to OSL Marketing, $500 to LoanPoint USA, and $750 to PayDay One. These are just the amounts of the original loans; with interest and fees they are much more than this. I don't have the money to pay.

I did contact Langhorne Debt Solutions and they agreed to work with me. The only thing is, they want an initial payment of $100 (which I don't have) and then bi-weekly payments of $66.64 that I'm not sure I can afford. I'm already barely scraping by as is. Does anyone know of a cheaper company that is legit?

LoanpointUSA isn't a licensed lender anywhere, OSL Marketing is listed as a collection agency at the BBB, I doubt very much that they are a legal lender either. The point is, hiring a consolidation company to handle unlicensed lenders is a waste of money. Unlicensed lenders will NOT negotiate with anyone, they may say they will, but in the end they will scam Langhorn as well. Let me do some research and get back with you with some solutions, meanwhile, I am moving this post to the payday loan help section because I am certain we can help you, free.

Your payday loan laws are at the link below:
http://www.paydayloaninfo.org/stateinfo/TN.asp
TN allows Internet payday lenders as long as they are licensed to lend SOMEwhere, LoanpointUSA and OSL Marketing is not licensed anywhere, therefore, CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders. Read that thread and follow the steps, whatever you have paid to these unlicensed lenders will go toward the principal amount you borrowed, less any fees and interest. All you are obligated to pay them is the principal amount you borrowed to begin with.

Paydayone, is a licensed lender, my suggestion would be to contact them and request an extended payment plan, they have been known to provide an EPP to other members of this forum.

Well, I did it. I e-mailed the letter to LoanPointUSA this morning. But I am so scared! Why? It's just a letter, right? But what if they come back and say they are a licensed lender? What if they get angry that I sent the letter and get more aggressive with their tactics? Please, someone, send me some reassurance that I did the right thing! :(

You did the right thing, as long as your account is closed they can't touch you! They aren't licensed, though they will try to come up with some BS legal jargon that doesn't apply to you. If you have any further questions, post em here, we are here for ya!
