I am scared to death and will begin to default on them this Friday. What is my best course of action? Should I call them before I default?

In my opinion NO! do not call them before you default. Some PDLs will try and hit your account before you have a chance to secure it.
Secure your funds. Either go to your bank and close your account (check Texas Law, make sure you cant get into trouble for closing the account due to PDLs) OR put a hard debit block on your account so they debit anymore funds.
Send the PDL's a revoke ach transactions letter-found in the "do it yourself" section on this site.
In case the nasty harassing calls start you may also need a copy of the cease and distist letter.
After you have secured your funds (checking account) call each of the PDLs and ask to be set up and an extended payment plan (EPP).
