I received a phone call form a law office out of fl stating that i owed quik payday Inc. money form a loan i took out in march of 2006 i am fairly certain that it was paid in full back then but i no longer bank with the same bank and cannot prove that it was paid or not ....what are my options? I tried to get in contact with that company but they know longer have a web site and all i can find is law suits against them what should i do? I live in texas

If you have paid off the dues, then you must be having documents

If you have paid off the dues, then you must be having documents in relation to that. Those documents will prove that you're not liable for the dues any further. You can ask the law firm not to call you any further as you've already paid off the dues. You can even send them a copy of those documents.

If you have paid off the loan in full, then there is no question of paying any money to the company. Pull out all the documents and be ready with them. If required, show them the copies of your documents. I won't be surprised if it turns out to be a scam. A lot of scam companies do that to make money.

Quik Payday isn't licensed a payday lender nor are they register

Quik Payday isn't licensed a payday lender nor are they registered as a CSO, therefore, they aren't legal. Tell this law firm they are trying to collection on an illegal loan.
