I have gotten a call from the Barr Group regarding a payday loan from paydayloan-yes. I want to pay it and they are letting me pay the original loan amount of $350.00 if i do it this month. I asked for them to fax me over something and they told me that i would receive something once my payment arrangement was in place then i would get a print out showing the payment and so on. Can I trust this. Any advice would be appreciated.

their number is 877-840-0375,which when i try to do a look up i cannot find anything for this phone number.

no they can't be trusted.the arrangement they want is your bank info.do not give it to them.this is one if many bottomfeeding scams out there that try to collect on illegal loans.point is if anything was debited prior to default then deuduct that from the 350.00.again do not give this place any sensitive info.they are a scam.

Others here can correct me if I'm wrong; but I would first ask them to send something in writing stating what you owe and that it's in fact a legal debt. And if you want to pay, tell them (or paydayloan yes, the original PDL) that you'll use a money order or a prepaid credit card. Especially if you've already closed one account so the PDL can't get to it, if you give them your new bank information I'm guessing they'll go for whatever money they can.

Yes - I did. Although i have mentioned before, (as there is ALOT out there about them) I had several loans I had paid in full prior to the last one -- so they werent too bad to deal with. The lady I dealt with even mentioned since I had paid off several, they offered me a settlement right away. I guess they had already made their money on me!!
