I am in California, I applied for a loan w/United Cash Loans and noticed they're taking out more money than they are suppose to take out.I tried to talk to supervisor, however the woman blew me off. I noticed that they're under investigation is this true, and if so what could I do?

You can close your bank account from which they are debiting money. You can, then, settle the debts with them and get rid of them. If they are illegal in your state, then you can pay them the principal amount only. There's no need to pay any finance charges or other fees.

Putting an account on deposit only status is better than nothing (esp. if a person has a direct deposit coming in), but the best thing to do is to close out the account as soon as possible. AND - do NOT let United know you're going to do that, otherwise they'll probably try to get whatever they can from your account before it's closed. Guaranteed they WILL call you up and try to get more money than the principal, but stick to your guns; I don't think these guys are legal anywhere!
