Hi everyone. I am drowning in the payday loan trap. I have three internet payday loans and I feel totally stupid for going this financial route. I live in West Haven, Ct.

Plain Green--installment loan
$1000.00--$125.93 is debited from my checking account
bi-weekly. I took the loan out in September 13, 2012, which I am sure I have paid the principle.

CashJar --bi-weekly ach debit
$750.00--$187.00 is debited from my checking account bi-
weekly. I have paid them four consecutive times.

Action Payday--bi-weekly ach debit
$500.00 loan--$150 has been debited from my account four
cosecutive times. They are going to debit $167.00 on March 28,2013 to start paying down the loan.

I need your help for I cannot pay my household bills they debit so much money out of my checking account. I have read some of the articles. If I close my checking account
am I still liable to pay these companies? Any assistance will be appeciated. Thank you. deanie

I have another question. Do you have to report payday loans as extra income when filing your tax return.

HelpinAZ, it is working! Plain Green sent me an email explaining that they are ruled by tribal law and are laws do not govern their actions. They have deleted my account and I do not own them a dime. Should i ask for a PIF?
Action Payday just deleted my account on their website.
The websites states I do not have a loan with them. Should I ask for a PIF email.

Glad to help - keep us posted.. Plain Green should be fairly easy.. may take a couple of days.. I recommend sending the ACH revoke and wage assignment cancellation letters directly from their websites.. through customer service email that way you know they got them.

And here is CT laws on payday lending in case you need:
Connecticut Payday Loan Laws
State Legal Status - Lending of payday loans are prohibited in the State of Connecticut.

Interest Rate Cap on Small Loans:
30.03% APR or $17 per $100-$600
$11 per $100-$1,800
add-on interest

Follow this link - all three of these are illegal - you need to follow the steps in the link - if you have other questions please ask.
http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/dealingwith-illegallenders.html

Plain Green is tribal illegal - I am seeing that you paid for the last 5 months biweekly - so if you have paid $1259.30 technically they owe you a refund of $259.30

Cash Jar - offshore, Belize City, Belize, C.A. - Illegal - It looks like you have paid $748.00 already so you owe them $2.00

Action Payday - offshore, Nevis, West Indies - Illegal - Looks like you have already paid them $600 already so they owe you a refund $100.00

Thank you so very much for your answer. I am going to Wells Fargo to close my bank account. I fear they might give me problems. Thank God I belong to my credit union. Who is Hydra Financial Limited fund IV? They deposited $300 in my account. I never signed any loan application. I spent the money. Any assistance will be helpful. deanie

You should have had the credit of $300.00 returned to them - not spent.. you will need to include them... treat them as the rest.. Tell us how it goes at the bank.. make sure you give them copies of the ACH revoke letters..
