Ive sent many emails to the illegal lenders asking for a settlement. I am asking to settle for the principle only. i havnt quite payed back my original amount borrowed on the loan. for some reason i dont feel the need to pay anymore.I kinda want them to pursue with a case.. ive done all the requirements to get them off my back legaly.somehing needs to be done. our voice needs to get heard.my rights have been violated and i am not scared to fight for my rights. and neither should anybody on this post, stand up for your rights and force your states to do something about it.
There is no need to ask for a
There is no need to ask for a settlement per se. Legally you owe NOTHING...the contract is null and void. Morally you should only pay back principal.
I hear you. Some will
I hear you. Some will disagree but IMO if they are going to fight you tooth and nail and be ridiculous screw them.
I'm where you are.
I am fed up with the non-stop calls from the creditors (the worst are cash in a wink, golden valley, e-finance...ie..integrity payday, usfast cash...). I sent letters to all of them revoking ACH and wage assignments, closed my checking, etc...I never got any response in writing from several (though I demanded all communication be done by email or postal mail so there was documentation)....Some emailed outrageous amounts I owed over what the principal balance would be, and I have told them repeatedly they aren't getting a dime over principal from me, and if they won't agree to settle for the principal - I will send them nothing.
I'm seriously at the point of sending them nothing (aside from the maybe two lenders who were prompt in accepting my terms - big eye lending and I think one more)... Many of them I owe several hundred dollars still in principal, but they will not cooperate - and I'm at my wits end. I refuse to send them anything more until they agree to settle for the amount I'm willing to pay (the principal, minus ANY fees I have EVER paid them). Perhaps I'm over-stepping my limits, but when I've had multiple loans with these companies prior to these current, I don't think they deserve another cent over what I've already paid to them in fees (including in prior loans). They can get bent as far as I'm concerned.
In the beginning, I was going to do the "moral" thing and pay them the principal, but after all the madness they are causing in my life by not cooperating - I'm done. If they won't agree, then I won't pay....not a cent...I actually wish many of them would turn over to collections, because then I could send them cease and desist letters. Only one so far has been sent to an outside agency. The rest handle all of their collections in-house.
P.s. - Cash in a Wink is ridiculous scum. I owe them $461.25 still in principal, but they literally call/text me all day - (today about 8 times on my cell, 3 texts, and once at work). ...They refuse to work by email/mail - so as far as I'm concerned - they're paid in full. I'm not putting up with this bulls*** anymore. I was going to be nice and pay them, but since they don't know what nice is (and never will), why remind them?
