I wrote a letter to Plain Green asking them to close my account as they agreed to. I live in AZ where payday loans are prohibited. I paid them over $5,000 in interest and requested to have that refunded to me. They told me that they are an indian tribe and they don't have to abide the the state laws. Is there anything I can do?

Did you request/get a Paid in Full letter from them? You can keep requesting refunds which they may or not act on.
You aren't a member of their tribe and I assume you don't live on their reservation. The laws of the state you live in, along with applicaible federal rules are what apply.
They spout their Sovereign Nation status crap but their "laws" are not enforceable in civil matters to non-members.

Just keep requesting refunds.
