I got a call this morning from a person stating he was an officer with the Massachusetts State Police and that a complaint had been filed against me. He gave no other details, but he gave me a number to call to get the details and said to ask for an officer there to get the details of this situation. He said if I didn't call I would be arrested either at my place of employment or at my home. I didn't call the number so I don't know what this is about but it is an out of state number that he requests I call. I am scared of this, but I don't want to get into something that is scamming me out of money which is what I'm sure it is.

If you're asking if you can be arrested because of a debt, the answer is no. Debts are civil, not criminal.

This is typical of some debt collector scams. Stay off the phone with them unless you get some more information.

You didn't say if you have outstanding payday loans/debt so without furher information that's the best answer.
